This session will unpack current research and lived experiences around safeguarding, gender, leadership, and risk in faith-based environments — with a focus on the role women play in leading cultural and systemic change.

Presenter: Gabrielle (Gabby) Hunt

Research Associate at the Institute of Child Protection Studies (ACU). Gabby’s PhD explored organisational risk factors for child sexual abuse in religious settings, supported by data from the Australian Child Maltreatment Study and insight from interviews with faith leaders across Australia.
